Medicare – International Healthcare Exhibition concludes in Colombo

The 15th edition of the Medicare – International Healthcare Exhibition 2026, held at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) in Colombo since Friday, concluded today with strong participation from across Sri Lanka’s healthcare sector, yesterday.

Recognized as Sri Lanka’s premier healthcare exhibition, Medicare 2026 was dedicated to educating the public while showcasing the latest advancements in healthcare services, medical technology, wellness, and medical tourism. The exhibition featured over 150 stalls representing both local and international exhibitors.

The inauguration ceremony was held with the participation of Chief Guest H E David Pine, High Commissioner of New Zealand to Sri Lanka.

The occasion was also graced by Dr. Rajesh Sambhajirao Pandav, WHO Representative to Sri Lanka from the World Health Organization, along with distinguished representatives from government and private sector healthcare institutions.

The Medicare – International Healthcare Exhibition served as a vital platform for showcasing the latest developments in healthcare services, medical technology, pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, wellness solutions, and healthcare education. The exhibition also provided an opportunity for healthcare organizations to connect directly with the public and raise awareness about a wide range of health-related services and developments.

The exhibition took place over three days, welcoming healthcare professionals, students, industry stakeholders, and the general public to explore diverse healthcare services and developments presented by leading organizations in the sector.

Key segments featured at Medicare 2026 included the National Healthcare and Medical Education Expo, Nirogya – International Ayurveda and Herbal Expo, Healthy Living Expo, Medical Equipment and Pharma Expo, and the International Hospital Expo.

In addition, the Medicare General Public Seminar Programme, designed to educate and equip the public with essential health knowledge, attracted significant participation from visitors eager to learn from healthcare professionals and industry experts.

The event further strengthened collaboration within Sri Lanka’s healthcare industry while promoting awareness, progress, and accessibility in healthcare services, reinforcing Medicare’s role as a leading platform for the country’s healthcare development.
