MendisOne is proud to announce the official launch of the Darshi & Rohitha Foundation, a dedicated organization under the MendisOne umbrella focused on development, social responsibility, and meaningful community impact. The launch ceremony was held 23rd February 2026 at Maw Sevana, Mattakkuliya, marking the beginning of a new chapter in MendisOne’s 28-year legacy of charitable initiatives.
The Foundation has been established to provide a structured approach to MendisOne’s philanthropic work, guided by the company’s core values and a sincere commitment to empower communities.
Key Areas of Focus
The Darshi & Rohitha Foundation will focus on critical sectors that make a tangible difference in people’s lives:
- Education – Enhancing learning environments and supporting schools
- Environmental Sustainability – Promoting eco-conscious initiatives and clean-up drives
- Youth Empowerment – Providing opportunities for growth and leadership
- Healthcare Support – Assisting with medical and wellness programs
- Sanitation & Hygiene – Ensuring access to clean water and improved facilities
Early Initiatives and Partnerships
Even prior to its official launch, the Foundation has already begun making a positive impact:
- Donated 12 green boards to Hewavitharana School in Rajagiriya to improve learning facilities.
- Renovated Maw Sevana Dormitory 2, making it fully functional, and upgraded Dormitory 1 to double the capacity for children.
The Foundation emphasizes sustainable, dignified, and meaningful projects and is committed to collaborating with partners, communities, and supporters to achieve long-term impact.
Looking Ahead
While the Foundation is starting on a small scale this year to learn and adapt, the long-term vision is to expand its team and reach, creating a broader impact across communities in Sri Lanka.
