Introduced to the Sri Lankan market by the leading pest management firm, Suren Cooke Agencies (SCA), this eco-friendly trap provides round-the-clock protection to guests and staff without a single spray of chemicals. It eliminates the need for frequent fogging or spraying, which can disrupt the guest experience and harm the surrounding biodiversity.
Biogents traps work by using artificial scents and CO₂ to mimic human breath, attracting mosquitoes 24/7 in both indoor and outdoor environments. Once lured by the odor and CO₂ plume, mosquitoes fly against the air current toward the trap. This system has been proven to reduce local mosquito populations by up to 80% while leaving beneficial insects and pollinators unharmed.
As part of the service, SCA’s team of professional entomologists provides the clients with detailed data reports, including mosquito counts and the species.
